Abstract:
"The concordance to the Delphic oracular responses in hexameter is intended as a tool for stylistic studies both of these texts themselves and of their relationship to traditional Greek epic poetry. To make quite clear what the textual basis is, and at the same time to make reference easier for the reader, the concordance proper is preceded by a collection of oracles, giving in full the texts on which the concordance is based together with a critical apparatus mentioning conjectures and the most important variants. The form of the concordance is the line-context concordance, to which is added a system of signs formed to make it possible for the reader, while using the concordance, directly to observe if the lines contain conjec­ tures, supplementations from other versions of the same oracle, etc. In the Prolegomena are explained the principles followed in adopting the oracles into the collection and in present­ ing the material."-
